Leonard A. McDermott
Attorney Leonard A. McDermott founded Employee Advocates, LLC. He has over twenty years experience in Labor Relations including serving as Chief Steward for a large public sector Union, completing his legal internship with a municipal police Union, and representing both Union and non-union clients in employment law, labor law, and Workers' Compensation.
Attorney McDermott received his bachelor degree from Teikyo Post University (Summa Cum Laude) in 1994 and his Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac College School of Law (Cum Laude) in 1997. He earned his degrees in the evenings while working full-time for the Connecticut Department of Mental Retardation and serving as Chief Steward. He is a member of the American, Connecticut and New Haven Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the CBA Labor and Employment Law section.
