Attorney Leonard A. McDermott founded Employee Advocates, LLC, which is located in Naugatuck, Connecticut. He has over twenty years experience in Labor Relations including serving as Chief Steward for a large public sector Union, completing his legal internship with a municipal police Union, and representing both Union and non-union clients in employment law, labor law, Workers' Compensation, personal injury and product liability matters.

Attorney McDermott received his bachelor degree from Teikyo Post University ( Summa Cum Laude) in 1994 and his Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac College School of Law (Cum Laude) in 1997. He earned his degrees in the evenings while working full-time for the Connecticut Department of Mental Retardation and serving as Chief Steward. He is a member of the American, Connecticut and New Haven Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the CBA Labor and Employment Law section.
