Leonard A. McDermott received his bachelor degree from Post University, Summa Cum Laude, in 1994 and went to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac College School of Law, with Honors, in 1997. He represents clients and unions before the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, the Connecticut Board of Mediation and Arbitration, the Department of Labor, the Office of Labor Relations, and all State and Federal Courts in Connecticut. Attorney McDermott is also an adjunct Professor of Legal Studies at Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the CBA Labor and Employment Law section.
Attorney McDermott has represented hundreds of clients in the private and public sectors. He served as Staff Attorney for the Connecticut State Police Union, represented CWA (SBC) members, and served as internship with the Connecticut Council of Police, AFSCME Local 15.
